With more than 17 years of racing experience, Mason is no stranger to success. A stellar racing career on asphalt and dirt started when Mason was 5 years old. In 2002, Mason’s driving career began in Quarter Midgets. In 4 short years, he won 40 races, set 3 track records, and was the 2005 Carolina Clash Cup Champion in Salisbury, North Carolina. The next challenge for Mason was 4 years of Bandolero racing. During this time, he had over 100 wins, 6 track records, and 6 championships. In 2008, he was awarded the Atlanta Motor Speedway President’s Award and the Young Gun Driver of the Year by the Georgia Automobile Racing Hall of Fame. Mason advanced to U.S. Legends cars in 2009. During this era Mason had over 75 feature wins, 5 Atlanta Motor Speedway Thursday Thunder Championships, and was also the U.S. Legends Pro Division National Champion.
In 2012 Mason signed with Bill Elliott Racing for his Driver Development Program. Mason won several races and quickly made a name for himself with one of his wins being the prestigious Alabama 200.
Mason then shifted his focus to Dirt Late Models in 2013 and has been racing around the Southeast for several seasons. Mason has collected numerous wins and fast time awards, including youngest pole winner in Southern All Stars Series history.
In 2019, Mason returned to asphalt, making his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series debut at Iowa Speedway. He made 6 additional Truck Series starts over the course of the season with several impressive runs driving a Reaume Brothers Racing entry.
With the 2020 season fast approaching, Mason is more than excited to be racing with BJ McLeod Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. What began as a childhood dream 17 years ago is turning into reality for Mason.
